The Hallelujah Chorus (non-TDO) audio clip
Hallelujah! One of the most recognized pieces of music in the world is the Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah by George Frideric Handel. Find out why this music never fails to move us. In a departure from our past tradition, on Sunday December 23, at 3:00 PM in the New Jersey Performing Arts Center's Prudential Hall, The Discovery Orchestra will present Discover Handel's Messiah, a Discovery Concert complete with audience Listening Guide, discovering the Hallelujah Chorus. After intermission, Part I of Messiah, the "Christmas Portion," will be performed in its entirety, culminating with a repeat of the beloved Hallelujah Chorus. The Discovery Orchestra and Chorus of professional singers will be joined by soprano Andrea Matthews, mezzo-soprano Jan Wilson, tenor
John Tiranno and baritone Glenn Boothby. Don't miss this perfect opportunity to get yourself into the holiday mood! Discovery Concerts are recommended for ages 13 and up.
